It's 2 o'clock already? Jeez!

Thu Aug 27, 2009, 10:17 AM
I went school shopping today, and it really bummed me out. There's only 4 days left of summer. It went by waaaaay too fast. I didn't get to do half the things I wanted to, and now I have this feeling of dread all the time. It's been a roller coaster month of August, and I'm really confused. Don't get me wrong, it was a pretty damn good summer, but sometimes a little rocky. I'm sure I'll never forget it. Here's a list of the highlights of my summer, starting with June:

June 9: I finished middle school! Finally, finally, finally!
June 12: Probably one of the best days ever. At 10:37 eastern standard time, the Pittsburgh Penguins won their third Stanley Cup, and Sidney Crosby, at age 21, became the youngest captain ever to win Lord Stanley's Cup. I almost cried, it was so magical.
June 15: The Pens had their victory parade. I didn't go, but I saw it on TV and it was incredible.
June 26-July 11: I went on an amazing trip to West Virginia to visit my grandparents. It was so much fun, and I loved every second of it.
July 13: I saw Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince two days before it actually hit theaters. It was the best film yet!
Sometime in mid-July: I made up with Danielle, probably one of the most mature decisions either of us has ever made.
August 7: Sidney Patrick Crosby's 22nd birthday. Love you, Sid <3
August 12: I skated with the Lady Lions AAA bantam team, which was an incredible experience.
August 18: Me and Ali went to Cedar Point. It was a blast, and certainly a day I'll never forget!
Sometime in mid-August: I saw Mike Rupp at a hockey clinic. That was probably the closest I'll ever get to him.

Reflecting on my memories shows me that this summer really was amazing. It's gonna be sad to see it go...
